If your DSRs have dropped 0.1 since the last DSR rating, does that mean the recent person who left feedback did this, or would it be an average of the DSRs?
 Sorry but wanted to under stand a bit more about DSRs.0 -
I must admit that the only DSR's I look at are my own.
My communication is down at 4.8, yet I send a dispatch email and a printed advice with every item, so not sure what people really expect.
On the flip side, postage is 4.5, which makes me think I'm undercharging as I would be comfortable with 4.
I think low ratings can lead to poorer search results / account suspention or something, so from that point of view it ought to help weed out some of the cowboys (and girls).0 -
I only buy on Ebay and always give 5*'s for everything, apart from on 4 occasions - twice for excessive postage - i'm talking £2+ over the actual postage as I appreciate envelope costs, fuel, time etc, once when a seller got funny with me for paying 6 hours after listing ended - listing ended 3.30am and i got a message asking me where the payment was and to hurry up, and once when the item took two and a half weeks to get to me.
I'ver never negged anyone or even neutral. The only real issues i've had have been postal ones with Royal Mail and the seller has kindly sent out a replacement.
As only a buyer, I don't care about my feedback. Some German has left me positive feedback, in German, today. I have no idea what it means, but I don't care. I also fail to see the point in those coloured stars.
As for communication, I prefer the seller to acknowledge in any way, either payment or shipping, just so I know all is well, but i'm happy to wait until the item arrives.
As long as I get the item within a reasonable amount of time, that's all anyone can really ask for. Easy transactions all the way.0 -

chja do you really mean that your postage stars are 4.5 or is it a typo (or have I missed a tongue in cheek?) 4.5 is getting dangerously close to suspension level, 4.4 is the danger area where your seller dashboard will start looking very dodgy.
You should aim for a minimum of 4.6. although most sellers I deal with are on about 4-7-4.9 for postage. Get down to a 4 and you run a very real risk of a temprary suspension which basically leads to all sorts of problems, you are already borderline for low in the visibility stakes. Check your expanded seller dashboard for any 1 or 2 stars left for you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Not necessarily - as they are calculated on a rolling 30 days, it could be a couple of high scores left 30 days ago dropping off at the back end and reducing your average.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
