Help needed with electrics in garage, working one day, not the next!

hi just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has offered advice especially thechippy for helpful suggestions... i feel so dumb. but found the problem! well the missus did by total accident.

on the other side of the room where the armoured cable goes into the wall there is a switched spur socket and i reckon one my daughters has switch it off (obviously everyones denying it now!!!) there was a box covering it so couldnt see it on the wall.

so relieved its been sorted.
