Laptop/Netbook Advice

my oh said I only need a netbook?
Any advice anyone?
I only use my laptop really for comping and reading emails

Netbooks arent all theyre cracked up to be, they are slower than a normal laptop, harder to type on the smaller keyboard, and generally more expensive to replace parts wise if they go wrong.

First things to check, will the laptop power on with the battery unplugged but the power lead connected?

You will probably either find the charging circuit on the laptop has died (new laptop time) or the charger itself is not working.

Check the obvious first, fuse etc. And then worry.

P.s a new laptop costs around 299.99 now for a nice spec'd Dell Inspiron from Tesco. I wouldnt get a Netbook. (i have 2 netbooks and only use them on the move)
