When you leave a property that has a prepayment electricity meter

Do you leave the key behind or take it as it registered to me

Thanks

Call your supplier and tell them you are moving out, make sure you use up your credit (or you could leave some for the next tenant as a gift).
So long as you tell your supplier to close your account, they'll be able to deal with any payments made by the next tenant.
With my green hat on, resuing the old key is easier all round, and saves making new ones.

Edit - To clarify - reusing the old key by the new tenant, thanks stewie

The key is registered to the meter so it won't work in another one
