Now, pessamist solicitor, still says dont start packing as it could still fall through...The search is the last item that we need before exchange, and this is being done on Tuesday,,, (absolutely everything else is in) there are three of us in the chain,, We all want to complete by the 10th July...
Our house has been cleared of all junk, loft all boxed (not much in it) etc, and so whats left in the hgouse is what we are definitely taking...
Million dollar question...
As its about two weeks to possible move day, would you start packing or would you wait til exchange which would hopefully be by Thursday next week,,...

Your solicitor may be pessimistic but they are right!
I've seen enough sales go wrong, even at the last moment, and it causes devastation not the least of which is people having to unpack until they get to that position again at some future date.
If you exchange next Thursday you still have enough time but I guess you could make sure you have had a good sort out if not done yet.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. I would wait.
We sold our house and everything was going great. It is in Cornwall and as I'm preggers had moved to Scotland to be with my family so everything was packed and boxed up ready to move. Just before exchange the buyers pulled out with no reason given and so I had to travel down again to set the house up for selling again. It was a total nightmare and really gutting to have to unpack things.
It sounds like you are really organised so maybe the packing won't take you too long.
We got loads of boxes free from Homebase and if you go to Asda at about 9.30pm you get millions there too, you can take your pick on size etc. HTH0 -
dont pack - our sale collapsed the day before the move - everything was boxed they are now trying to re-finance and I can't face unpacking so we are living our of boxes at the minute with the uncertainty hanging over us that we may have to get ready for viewings againi'm living in a parallel universe0
