:rotfl: I misread and thought you were asking how to make Smash :rotfl:
I was debating about being very cheeky and suggesting you empty the bag in your hoover and mix the contents with water and voila!!"Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

I use instant mash for thickening soups and stews without flour. You just shake a bit in at the end and whisk it though - it thickens it and you can't taste it and you don't get that raw flour taste that you sometimes get when you thicken with flour.Jane

Now don't dismiss this, or vomit, but why not mix it with icing sugar and make Scottish Macaroon Bars.
Simply mix it up as you would, without seasoning, to get mashed potato, then mix it with Icing sugar to make a very stiff paste, similar to marzipan texture. Roll into a rectangle and leave to set. Then cust into squares or rectangles, dip into melted chocolate and coat with toasted coconut.
Absolutely delish and definitely gluten free. i'll try and find a recipe online for exact figures, I usually just go by texture.

ETA just reread your original post, and thought that this does actually fit in with the fun and interesting remit! It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -
Afternoon all,
Hope you can help Im trying to use up everything in the cupboards before hitting the shops. Today im going to use powdered spuds. Never used them before, Im going to make up and add spring onion. I wanted to top with cheese and grill.
Will it be ok to do this?? could it all fall apart and taste foul.
If so what has any one else done with it.

In my experience, you either like the stuff or you don't. If you like it, this is a great recipe, if you don't, there isn't really anything that can make it OK.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

I'm with Jojo. My foodie friend loves the stuff, I hate it. But, I also hate any potato things that's been frozen, which I know isn't normal.0
