This has been building up for a while but this week was the final straw when they refused to accept the £5 off £30 shop at Morrisons coupon from The Sun despite having taken it for the previous 4 weeks. After a showdown with the checkout supervisor, I emptied all my packed shopping back into the trolley and walked out. I have written a letter of complaint to the Manager, but doubt he will bother to reply.
Went shopping at my local Asda today and boy was it a breath of fresh air. I might not be able to use my coupons or collect Clubcard points but most things I buy appear to be cheaper than Tesco and the staff appear to care about the customer.
Goodbye Tesco...........it's been fun (not)!!!
Thanks to all that have supplied the coupons I have been using, it has been a great help.
I did the same in Junuary and boycotted Tesco for 6 weeks. Sainsbury and Asda near me were a breath of fresh air too. It felt great to be treated as valued customer and never have my coupons questioned (i had to buy the items - well almost) but as with the free quantum last month at Sainsbury and the Triple Velvet rolls of 16 that were just £2.00 with coupon at Asda, there were still ways to get a bargain.
Only after a successful week of free shopping while on holiday at a different Tesco, did i return to my local store. Since then, apart from one incident with an old trout (who now watches me every day with her evil eye), its been worth it, as i have had a very good run since then, and upped my coupon use.
Today i got £40 of shopping free, and thats not to be sniffed at. I just make sure i give as good as i get, and must admit, i enjoyed leaving my shopping behind too.
Now i'm more likely to just switch store than leave altogether, as its worth it in the end. But once the coupons end - i will be out of Tesco's in a flash.
If they have a policy - they should stick to it and enforce it across the board. Hiding behing 'managers discretion' has been a massive kop out, and left a lot of customers with a bitter taste in their mouth.0 -

30p off Aunt Bessies Homestyle Chips
Valid for 2 weeks after printing
I've printed out 1 and it says my limit hasn't been reached yet
Valid email is required as you need to join Aunt Bessies club: http://www.auntbessies.co.uk/club/register/
Not sure if this has been posted, I might have missed it, but it says *new* next to it so I thought I'd post it (did I include everything?)
Thanks for this, but already on 1st page (added on 1 July). Keep searching though - your efforts are greatly appreciated!! :T

PS Just thought I would add that this one doesn't actually require a valid email address, because once you register you are taken straight to print the coupons (what I mean is there's no validation via email required). Obviously, if you make up a mickey mouse email address to register then it's best to remember it and use it again each time you log in (to save you re-registering with another bogus email every time).0 -

My mum has a car but had recently had to stop driving for medical reasons. We take her car so its win win all round. I save my petrol:o, and she gets me to take her to the shops (i throw in a few coupons!!);)(and we both get to enjoy each others company!)And truth be told I miss you...And truth be told I'm lying0 -
