Antalya Airport, Turkey

Options
Hi,
We have just returned from a holiday in Side in Turkey and had a really great time. Everything about it was good, lovely hotel, great weather and good food. However the only thing that spoilt our return journey was Antalya airport. When you go through to airside my husband purchased a lager ,bottle of water and a bitter lemon and this cost £12.90. The temperature was 40 in the airport and we had all been through security and were in the departure lounge and everybody was made to throw their drinks in a bin. This even applied to people with young children. When you have been through security at Gatwick any drinks you buy you are allowed to be taken on board. All the prices of food were exhorbitant as well, so be warned if you are going on holiday via Antalya Airport.

Dalaman airport is extremely expensive too. Someone I was talking to paid £35 for 4 KFC meals

They're not strict with liquids there, so we were able to carry a bag of sandwiches and a bottle of water through which we ate in the departure lounge. We travelled home on the 8th June, but I'm not sure if things have changed since then.
Here I go again on my own....
