Just purchased a viewsonic lcd monitor to replace my old crt monitor. But one thing that the monitor cannot do is to tilt the screen. The stand seems to be fixed which results in the screen tilting down slightly.
Very poor instructions with the monitor so I dont know if the monitor is intended to tilt? Can someone confirm this is the case?

Which model is it?0

It would be very surprising if a monitor could not tilt! Are you exerting adequate (but not excessive) force, pulling the bottom of the screen in the direction away from the stand?0

it's a Viewsonic VA1916W 19in LCD I have tried a bit of pressure but the stand seems solid. I don't want to break anything.-TangleFoot- wrote: »Which model is it?

A quick Google throws up the Viewsonic VA1916W webpage where, about half-way down (in the Specs tab), you find:it's a Viewsonic VA1916W 19in LCD I have tried a bit of pressure but the stand seems solid. I don't want to break anything.

I've known monitors with height-adjustable stands to have locking pins which need to be removed. Your tilt problem seems strange though. Are the cables jamming the mechanism?0
