  • Hi

Gizmo111, thanks for yur contribution on my DF journey! I have done pretty well this week -have managed a few NSDs, paid £209 off my TCC debt, taken lunch to work every day and started back on my healthy eating plan.

I have also bought the ingredients for my batch cooking, so will spend tomorrow making meals to freeze. It's amazing what you can do when you focus!
  • Okey Dokey, here are my goals for September:

 Take lunch to work EVERY day from 1st til the end of September and spend no more than £50 per week on food for the month.

 Make an over payment EVERY WEEK on my TCC.

 List 40 items on Ebay.

 Have 15 no spend days.

 Continue on the Paul McKenna 90 day Success Journal - first milestone will be losing a few pounds for a weekend away at the end of the month.
  • Some great news today!

I've been focussing on my electrical consumption, mainly by using pointers from other DFWs. I've tumble dried less, switched off lights when not in use etc etc.

The result is that we are £87 in credit with our electricity bill!! This has never happened before as we ususally have a deficit.

We are so used to switching lights off in rooms we are not using that it's become second nature!!
  • hi and well done for being in a deficit on your leccy, wish i could say the same but we have clawed back a lot from last winter. At least you know that this winter you can turn the heating on if it gets really cold as you've got that extra sitting there waiting for the winter months.
  • Hey thanks Lemon Tree!

I'm soooooo focussed on the debt busting that I'm sure I'm driving everyone around me mad!!!

I just long for the day when I can shout from the rooftops, "Other than my mortgage I OWE NOTHING!!!

Long journey but I'll get there!

Looking forward to a relatively spend free weekend - hope everyone has a good one xxx
  • Still on track......

It's been really busy with work at the mo so I haven't got around to loading anything onto Ebay. I'm going to transfer this goal into October and try and sell double the amount.

 Take lunch to work EVERY day from 1st til the end of September and spend no more than £50 per week on food for the month. Am doing well taking lunch to work, but my weekly shop is averaging £60 - must try harder!

 Make an over payment EVERY WEEK on my TCC. On track, paid an additional £400 towards the card this month.

 [STRIKE]List 40 items on Ebay.[/STRIKE] Not happening, see above.

 Have 15 no spend days. On track.

 Continue on the Paul McKenna 90 day Success Journal - first milestone will be losing a few pounds for a weekend away at the end of the month. On track, lost 2 lb so far.

The lovely weather is helping me remain motivated. I'm really trying to clear my Tesco Credit Card by Christmas - it'll be a struggle but worth it (even if I only manage to clear 3/4!!).

Checked my credit rating last week and I'm happy to announce that it has improved since I did the check in June! It's surprising how closing some accounts can help!

    Have a great week everyone!

  • So I've had a good September and now starting to prepare for a great October! I've decided to break down my goals on a weekly basis. This week I commit to:

    1. Taking lunch to work EVERY day - put the money I save towards my TCC
    2. Have 3 NSDs
    3. Make 2 overpayments on my TCC
    4. Sort out my paperwork
    5. Go swimming twice (must remember not to drive past the pool on my way home from work!)

    Off I go.....
