Ticket scammer alert

I got done yesterday by a well known scammer through Gumtree whle looking for Kings of Leon tickets.
He will contact you offering tickets, and ask you to call him on 07729901208
He gave his name to me as Steve Davidson and told me he lives in Watford, but his real name is Amrik Gill and he is well known to Greater Manchester Police for his scamming tricks, he has been to court at least twice. Just google his phone number and you will see what I mean. He will say he is going away that day so can't meet in person for tickets.
He sounds so genuine on the phone, but don't go anywhere near him! He will probably change his name and email address from the one he gave me.
Please please leave well alone!

If you or anyone else you know has been scammed by this guy, usually the same phone number but different name and email, please please report it to your local police and let them know Greater Manchester Police know about him already. This guy needs to get sent to prison... I felt like a right muppet letting myself get done by him, but feel so much better for knowing that I've reported him... even though I was embarrassed, it's definitely the right thing to do. PM if you have any questions.

Hey the main thing is this tw.t gets reported and stopped, nothing to feel ashamed off being conned, as I seen on net with that number he seems plausible what I dont understand given the amount of scams he has perpetrated is why he hasnt been stopped

Got a call a few weeks ago saying Watford Police are investigating so hopefully he will be stopped soon!

I have been getting messages through my ebay account about football tickets, not sure what people were talking about I contacted the people to ask why they were contacting me. Apparantly someone was advertising for football tickets on Craigslist and saying that he was a reputable ebayer and that his paypal account was down which meant that he couldn't list tickets on ebay. This guy basically set up an email address very similar to my ebay account name and posed himself as me to gain buyers trust. I mailed him posing as a 'potential' buyer and funnily enough he gave my ebay name and said he was a reputable ebayer. I swiftly asked for some of his details and he said his name was John B Louise, somewhat made up I think. From his emails he has poor spelling and grammer so could be a foreign fraudster, who knows.

I promptly responded by saying if 1 more person contacts me then I will go to the police. I haven't had an email since. Fingers crossed.

Quick bump. This piece of scum has done a few people for tickets on a Manchester City forum, Greater Manchester Police are investigating according to the ones involved.
