Is this quote fair? I have been quoted the following for preparation work. The works are removal of one chimney breast and the other one is supporting a chimney breast. Seems quite a lot, the actual estimate for supporting and removal of one chimney breast is £3500. I live in Greater London.

Hardboard to ground floor hallway and create through into kitchen. Gaffer tape to edges. Remove carpet in rear bedroom, roll up, remove underlay (hopefully for refit) and stack in front bedroom.
