Replacement Mattress

Hi All,

18 Months ago we bought a mattress from Benson for Beds along with a new wooden frame. We bought and paid for a 1250 sprung memory foam one.

We received a 1450 sprung memory foam one because they had supply problems at the time.

We made a claim on the guarantee today because of a manufacturing fault however they will only replace it with a 1250 sprung mattress.

Should I expect a 1450 as a replacement, am i entitled to this?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I see it is that you only paid for the 1250, so that's all you are entitled to. However they will send the 1450 back to the manufacturers, and get it replaced with another one. So the retailer will probably gain out of it.

As long as the spec is the same apart from the number of springs I shouldn't worry.
