Need to complain about our estate agent

OMG! What a mess. ! And a salutory lesson as to why it's a bad idea.
All that oil they've paid for. Don't spose you took a last reading to show how much you had left yourselfs?0 -
This is interesting. Have the prospective buyers surrendered all right to their property, as they've left it on someone else's land and effectively abandoned it?
I agree - get the parents to change the locks or get the keys back from the EA!0 -
Have heard back from the EA -= surprisingly very apologetic!! They allowed someone to go in and service the Rayburn - Knew nothing about that either!! and assume that the purchasers left godds there then. As regards the oil tank they have had a bill sent to them at our address luckily it is in their name.
Think we may look down the rental avenue now but we seem to have gained: tank of oil, Rayburn service and the grass cut!!
Definately going to make a complaint about the agents and then tell them to stick the selling!!0 -
Why did they pull out though?Pawpurrs x0

Their buyers pulled out and they can't proceed without their property being purchased.0

I'd suggest re-marketing your property, but if your puyers get new buyers themselves, they may well still be interested in your place. As I said before, it's not them you want to hack off, it's the agent, so tread carefully.
If you cancel the contract with the current agent, but these buyers end up purchasing, the 'dodgy' EA is sitll the one who introduced them and will be entitled to some (not necessarily all) commission.
Good luck in getting the chain back together.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0
