Hi All
We live in a purpose built flat with one on top - our landlord extended the flat with a flat roof (big lounge for us:).
My Neighbour to the side came to advise the amount of 'stuff' on the flat roof - we know upstairs 'feeds' birds by thowing out all her bread/ left over food onto the roof as several birds miss judge the landing and crash into our patio doors . . .
There is hose pipes and junk on the roof, our neighbour also advised the boy runs around on the roof and they use it as a sun terrace?- I am pretty sure its not ment for walking on?
Should i advise my landlord? - She could cause problems for us, as she isnt the one who lives here?
Also is it likley the kid would go through the roof? hes is around 8 or 9
Thanks

I'd get onto the phone to him/her pronto. Most flat roofs are not suitable for such usage. They are a nightmare at the best of times....
It will get damaged, it will rain heavily and you will come home to a wet living room!0 -

Do you know if it is a concrete roof or not? Do you hear them on it?0 -
Some flat roofs are perfectly suitable for use as a terrace or for walking on. It depends on the roof timbers & also what the roof covering is made of. In my last house I had a flat roof extension that my bedroom overlooked & it was ok to walk on it & I kept plants on it.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
