I just went online to do this, thinking the expiry date was 5 minutes ago, but they have extended the offer for august.
There's a 99p delivery charge, and the mixed box is £15.95 so for 4 weeks that's a spend of almost £68.52% tight0 -
Thanks for bumping this, didn't see it first time around, I'll be giving it a go.0

I'm a nanny and the family i work for have their boxes delievered every thursday morning about 8.30am. You have the same slot every week unless you cancel due to going on hilday etc. Some days they have turned up late afternoon which we didnt expect but it wasnt a problem. The delivery was free but is now 99p. With every delivery you get the reciept in a booklet that has cooking ideas, local inforamtion and offers available:D.
All the chilled items like milk, meat etc come in cool boxes with ice packed and the fruit and veg etc come in tied cardboard boxes which you save and leave out for them to collect when they deliver your next shop.
My bosses order organic full fat milk, organic meat, organic fruit and veg boxes and they even order bread and pitta bread, cans of italian tomatoes, organic beans and grains and other bits too. Although the fruit and veg is lovely (veg is covered in mud and needs a good wash!:p) i do think its expensive. Especailly buying bread and canned goods from them.
The fruit and veg boxes they ordered depends on the season so you dont actually know whats going to be delivered in the boxes, you just get whats available. We have had all sorts of veg turn up that ive never seen and no idea how to cook! lol
Hope that helps someone
I Love a bargain! :happyhearSealed Pot Challenge - Save as much spare change as i can!:D0 -

They now put a list up of what's in the box this week and the following week on the website, and you can say whether you want it or not - if you don't want it they will replace it with other things, but you don't know what these are (but they will be different things, not just more of what's already in the box). The replacements won't be things that you've got on your overall 'banned' list though (eg I'm allergic to melon, so have this banned all the time on my list, this week they had rhubarb in the box, which I don't like, so I asked for it to be replaced, and it was with clementines).
There are loads of recipes on the website, listed by ingredient, so if you don't know how to cook something (or are bored of cooking beetroot the same way after 4 weeks!) you can get some new recipes.
We just have started our free £50 stuff and got some meat as well - the spare ribs are very nice

I didnt know that as i dont order the food or go on the website so i just see what turns up. I'm not sure the mum knows that either as she sometimes doesnt know what things are either!:DI Love a bargain! :happyhearSealed Pot Challenge - Save as much spare change as i can!:D0 -
u get what u pay for... u cant compare their organic to the low rent supermarkets like asda, aldi, e.t.cstphnstevey wrote: »This is an intial eye catcher, but when you sit down and think about it, it's not that good a deal.
The products (although good quality) are a bit on the expensive side. So through this offer your effectively paying about half price for them.
However you could buy the same produce in a supermarket for half the price.
So not really a deal....for me anyway
their organic aint even quality goods. false economy.0 -
Now extended till August 31st incase you missed it first time around :j0

This looked interesting til i saw they charge £4.10 for 6 sausages
And almost a fiver for just over a lb of mince :eek:0 -

But those 6 sausages are plump and lovely and are jammed packed with flavour, instead of the gristle, and nasty flaccid icky things you get in the supermarket that are 1/2 of the price. This means you can use them for eg in a sausage casserole and feed 6 people easily, with just a few veg in it as well, for bags of flavour and about £1.50 a head for 6, rather than cheap and nasty things that taste like poo and have the nutritious equivalent. Plus the piggies that made the sausages at £4.10 are happy snuffly outdoor piggies instead of tramatised, tethered, sickening conditions poor pigs, which really isn't something you can put a monetry value on imho.
The mince goes on and on, as a) it has bags of flavour and b) isn't all water. So just a tiny bit of it cooks up to a lovely meal for however many again, for overall a small cost.
Just because something has a SEL that's cheaper doesn't make the overall meal cheaper.Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
I love your description of the outdoor piggies

2 of the items in my first box were off already, but they've given me a credit of £1.60 for each, which makes sense when there are 10 items in the box.
The ruby grapefruit have been delicious - glad to see I'll get a 3rd lot in my 3rd box
Last week's plums were huge and really juicy, and the squash was really sweet. I'm really pleased with my second box and it all tasted so much better than my supermarket veg.
This week I've asked for no more onions - I'm hoping for beetroot instead
