I am more worried about the snails doing the naughty - they have three hundred babies at a time!

scorgy - have a look for any races around Grimsby or Cleethorpes. I grew up in Grimsby (yayyy - I escaped!) and it is very flat.

I have used abel and cole a couple of times in a moment of flippant mad spending (their meat prices ) but £15 per week would be useful for the vegetables and storecupboard stuff over the 4 weeks of July. Off to check it out - cheers Toto :D

Something's eating my rose bush!! All the leaves are full of holes! Couldn't see any insects or anything though. Is there something I can get to spray on it to stop them? I don't want it to die, It's grown loads lately.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Becky-I love you and all-but saying 10k is 'a short distance' is a bit well, *Bunny searches for a word that won't sound too harsh* mean.

I'm sorry if THAT sounds mean but it was a massive accomplishment for many many people to run/walk that.

Try soap water - a bucket of warm soapy water pour it all over the plant? its meant to repel bugs.......

Not sure Ames, long time since I had rose bushes - is it worth posting the question on the Green fingered board ?

I'll ask my dad, he's a keen gardener, or my neighbours. I might try the soapy water thing though!
