This is my first post and want to share something useful to this community.

I found this blog where you see the way to obtain a genuine Avira Antivirus license valid per 6 months.

I'm a new user and i can't put the link here so, send me a msg if you want to get that link.

Seems legitimate, if you happen to be GERMAN:

It works like this:

Get Avira Antivirus 6 months license key free

The Avira website is in German, but with help from Google Translate.


1. Download Avira Premium setup file (get the license key from below instructions before installing).
2. Visit the promotion page for free license key (as shown in below screenshot).

3. Enter the details as follows:
Select Herr (Mr.) or Frau (Ms).
Vorname: First name
Nachname: Surname
Email-Adresse: Your email address (which has to be valid to receive your license key)
Land: Country

Note: It would be advised to register your country as Deutscheland (Germany), as this offer may not be valid outside Germany.
4. Click the button “Lizenz anfordern”. You will get a page as shown below. Click the button.

5. You will now be lead to a page as shown below. Click the icon marked with red, and save the file in My Documents.

6. Double click the setup file and start installation. During installation, in one of the steps, you need to input the license key file. Click “Durchsuchen” and locate the key file you downloaded to My Documents.

You should now have a working copy of Avira Antivirus Premium. Enjoy!

Fwiw, I'm not condoning the use of the urls or the 'open' licensing, seems odd that they should use the German language and give instructions in German but yet at the same time allow european ip addresses to access that particular part of their site and download\apply for a key. Especially considering they're an 'anti virus' company, you would think they would be able to stop anyone from outside their territory from applying.

That said, we are supposedly part of Europe and as such we SHOULD be entitled to use the url so perhaps they're erring on the side of caution.
