My mum gets dla can i get free car tax as im her carer

    The HRM payment is going to be far more each year than just getting free road tax, so if the OP has a suitable car why should anyone be suggesting that a motobility car is needed.
    However if that is the case and you own and use the car at times that is not needed by your mother then you cannot get free VED, but maybe your mother could pay it for you if you do as much for her as you say.

    Looking at all of the OP's posts makes me doubt how genuine they really are.

    If OP is eligible for DLA herself then why does she need to use her mother as a reason (excuse?) to ask for road tax exemption? :rolleyes:
