Hi
I wonder if anyone can offer me advice?
I got a loan for £11,000 from a branch of Lloyds TSB in March 2008. I do not remember the sales person asking if I wanted PPI or even mentioning it - My Husband was with me and he agrees that it was not mentioned.
I recently sent the first template letter stating that it wasn't mentioned and that if it had of been, I would not have got it because I had an existing illness and my employer provided 6 months full salary sick pay.
I thought I had an excellent case, then, they wrote back saying my loan insurance had been fully discussed and explained to me and they sent a copy of a form which I had signed which said (in a very small writing) "I wish to purchase Loan Protection Insurance". I'm honestly not stupid, I must've signed without reading it though. Seriously, PPI was not mentioned at all, but this looks like it was discussed and explained to us.
Help!!! I don't know if I still have a winnable claim. Can anyone help???
Regards

Hi there
Its a standard response, we all have these from Lloyds, if this was the first response then write back and tell them that, tell them "even though they state it was discussed, you know this wasn't" and you stand by your reasons.
With the final response they should give you the details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can then go this direction if you want to.
The FOS have stacks of lloyds complaints and used to dealing with them and know what they are like.
You still have a good chance of getting through this, so keep at them, stay strong, do not back down.
Good luck and ask for help when you need this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks for your help di3004
