Not really a techie subject but might be of some use.

Aldi have tubs of VDU & Screen Wipes for £1.99. I know some folk were asking how best to clean an LCD screen. These work very well.

Just use baby wipes...about half the price, and work just as well.

I wouldn't recommend baby wipes they contain moisturiser I use the Aldi wipes for our TFT and crt's. They do the trick. I bought some more last week as they don't often have them in stock.

The Aldi wipes are good for screens and also for glasses (specs).

But microfibre cloth very lightly dampened is the best icon7.gif
  • I follow ts_aly2000 lines above but I prefer the Fellowes Wet and Dry screen wipes as opposed to the spray. They're the best things I've tried.

My local Staples was out of them last time I went in, so I ordered the AF wipes instead.
Again, not the cheapest, but highly effective.

Hmm, that's strange. I got some of those a few months back and thought they were absolutely useless. Tried them on both CRT and TFT monitors and they leave horrible smears all over the place.

I wonder what you're doing differently to me!!!

Klear Screenhere it doesn't leave an oily layer on your screen either. I spent ages looking at different things to clean my Dell 24" monitor with. Various friends all tried various products and all end up with varying results. One of them is now used to the tiny little "scuff" marks on his screen and is quite happy to cotinue using water and a lint free cloth. I meanwhile don't have any scuff marks on my monitor :D
It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
