Aviva Car Insurance No Claims Policy

Options
Aviva Car Insurance gives it's maximum 70% discount for 5 years or more no claims discount.
However, they have no interest in any no claims over and above the 5 years. If you ever leave Aviva you must be aware that they will only give you a certificate saying that you have 5 years or more no claims discount.
I have not made an insurance claim since 1985 so thought I would be entitled to full no claims discount with a company that offers its biggest discount for 9 years or more no claims.
No such luck, I have lost 9 years of the no claims I have built up thanks to Aviva's policy. The robots at their Indian call centre are no help at all.

To be honest Sue I don't think it would make a huge difference.
Not many companies give more than 70% and even if you had 9, with some companies you have to start at 5, so it won't make a huge difference.

Ask Aviva to send you a "Hand typed" letter on headed paper confirming how many years you have eg 9 years +.
