Have MBNA threatened to close down your cc account? Is it still active?
Did you reclaim cc charges or PPI?

    Thanks.
  • I only went for PPI

They have not closed my account but they have dropped my credit limit, which is fine with me as I'm trying to be debt free and not using the card now

Inneedofcash, would you mind me asking, how far were/are you off your credit limit - roughly?

Thing is my wife has an MBNA cc and wants to reclaim PPI first, then cc charges. She's close to her limit and we're worried they might close the account - and call in the balance, if she reclaims.

If the company were to close your account because of your complaint about their charges/PPI then you could raise an official complaint with the Financial Services Authority citing retaliatory action against your claim.
