I do wish the missus hadn't chucked out our 2008 Yellow Pages.
It listed the phone number and address of our then unloved, unwanted and unvisited local Woolworths store and its two floors of cheap tat.
Yet clearly the loss to our cultural life by Woolworths' passing is such as to make anything with even the vaguest reference to the store an heirloom for future generations.
No wonder, then, that the market in eBay Woolworth collectables is so buoyant that average prices in excess of 3p will be achieved in 2009. Ten years from now, those prices could easily be double.
I'd sign up to buy one of those incredibly rare / utterly unique 1,250,000 print-run catalogues myself if I had the money.0 -

Looks like it's been on eBay a long time as the rejected offers date back to February. I wonder how the seller would react if he suddenly started getting loads of silly offers (1p, 2p? Oh all right then.. 5p but it's my last and final offer!
