Right 1st of all h i everyone
HSBC still have this overdraft charging fee of 25 pounds ok, well if i go to the cashpoint and i need to go over my overdraft it says please agree if you wish to continue with the withdrawel and a fee of 25 may be add bla bla bla. I dont mind this as i do agree to it.
But when direct debits are going out and it sends me over my overdraft there still charging 25 pounds for something like 6.99 worth.
Ive had it for 3 months now, 50 pounds. 75 and this month 100 pounds and odd pence.
Its really getting me down as i cant seem to get out of the rutt.
I have written to them asking them to refund it all or i will take it to court win or lose.
But i just worried that theres nothing i can do , or is there >?

I know this may be hard (considering the financial times we are currently all facing) but the one way to stop it all is by not going over your overdraft.
I know this is easier said than done, because I used to do it constantly (sometimes because of my fault, other times because I was totally broke and couldn't stop it) One month only I got charged £150 because I went over my overdraft (funnily enough, I was with HSBC too) The £150 charge happened another 3 times, because every time they took their £150 charges, it was putting me over my overdraft again. The banks are fine doing this, as they are racking the money in from other peoples misfortune.
It all spirals out of control very quickly.
If you are in financial hardship, you should tell your bank this and they have to look at your request now.
Financial hardship means you don't have enough money to pay rent/bills etc.
If you do go down the financial hardship route, I do warn you that HSBC will look at your account with a fine tooth comb, they pulled me up for a McDonald's that I bought my partner for her birthday (big spender me! lol)
HSBC are stubborn when it comes to this, but keep fighting them. I wasnt successful, but i wish you all the luck in the world.
If the worst comes to the worst, it may be a case of solidering on until the court case is over.0
