Motorcycle PCN at Waterside

Hi All

Two weeks ago on a sunny Sunday I had a ride out to Stratford Upon Avon with my partner and parked up at Waterside with about 50 other bikes to enjoy the sun and have a chat .
Two days later two PCNs come through the post - £70 between us to be paid for parking on private land .... Didnt see any restriction signs and there were loads of other bikes there . The next w/e I went back to have a look for signs and "mysteriously" there were two signs tie wrapped to lamposts that "definitely" were not there the previous week !!!!

Where do I stand ? - difficult to prove the signs were not there when I parked ??

Anybody else been caught ?? ,what to do next ?

Thanks ,

If this is a private ticket, you best course of action is to ignore it totally.

Don't contact them (or confirm your identity in any way) and don't respond to the string of threatening letters you will get from their collectors/solicitors - they are invariably meaningless and most probably illegal. The chances of them taking you to court are utterly miniscule.

Just to double check, what company issued your ticket? A search in this forum will probably answer all your questions about them and their methods.

Ignore them. Chances are they'll try to bully you into confirming who the DRIVER was.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Thanks peter will let all know how things go!!!! thay are so sneaky as there are no cameras to be seen ........, the only thing i can think off was thay had a camera, in a bag filming as thay walked round as we did not leave the bikes just sat on the grass enjoying the sun having a cuppa.

Yup, UKPC are chancers who will simply try to bully you into paying.

Don't waste any more energy worrying about the empty threats from them or their associated recovery firms/"solicitors" - Only respond to properly issued court papers and don't hold your breath waiting for them.

Any "photo evidence" is also of very limited value if they do try that line, they would have to prove a few more important points before that would be admitted.
