Hello
Is it ok if I join in too?
I have never posted on the OS board before but have been reading eagerly for some time, and my life is changing somewhat soon, what with me moving in with my OH at the end of July and starting a new job, I wondered if it was ok for me to post, as I'm sure I will be needing much help along my way! I'm going to start with batch cooking and meal planning and go from there. And posting my OS things through the day should help keep me on the straight and narrow.
I'm sorry some of you seem to be having a really tough time of it lately *big hugs* to all (I would put one of those three people hugs on here, but I think from the name of it it's a bit of a naughty emoticon, rather than a nice normal hug!!!!)

Haribo....When this wall "jumped out"...did it shout "booooo" too?
Glad you're ok - thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday.
Having a very quiet morning, watching countless episodes of Cold Feet on dvd and doing some sewing on DD2's patchwork quilt.
Finally managed to get some more Mr's value curry sauce yesterday at 7p a jar, they'd not had it in for ages....so I stocked up...got some funny looks with 10 jars
Will spend the evening wine making with DH and scoffing all the strawberries we picked yesterday.
Hope you all have a fab day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Afternoon all,
We had rain last night, gone now, it is still nice and warm, I have put clothes on line and have more in machine, will put them out too...they will dry sometime.
Both DGS on holiday from to-day...could be a long summer if we don't get good weather!
Welcome Missymoo81.
Haribo...is there not a law about jumping walls???
Nice to see you back Joannasmum.
Didn't have fish yesterday for dinner after all, so will have it to-day, might have some broad beans with it and some more of our own gooseberries, stewed with ice-cream for pudding.
DD1 is back from Sardinia to-night, have warned her to bring me some pecorino, I love it but it is very expensive here.
Feeling rather lazy to-day, can't believe that it is 12.30, will have to get off my lazy bum soon and do a bit!
Have a good day all

Afternoon peeps
managed to log on before w*rk today for a change, this week i seem to be rushing around at the last minute every day.
I`ve just polished off some noodles for dinner followed by some white choccy mmmmmmmmm not had any of that for ages.
This morning i`ve hung out the washing, emptied the dw, walked the houndies and scrubbed the bathroom so thought that i deserved a quick read before leaving the house.
MSD - Sorry to hear that you`re still suffering with toothache, hope that you get it sorted asap. When i had my last filling it was exactly the same. The tooth had been drilled out too deeply and the new filling was putting pressure on the nerve. I bottled any further treatment and had the bloomin thing out
Haribo - Glad to hear that you`re ok, you`re responsible for my laughs lately
Missymoo - Hello
Joannasmum - Nice to see you back!
Pooky - Must have missed your birthday somewhere along the line i think, belated wishes for you.
Must make a move or i`ll be late.
Have a great afternoon guys.

Hello again all!Joannasmum - nice to see you back with us!
sistercas - Yes, its the one they filled last time. I think they left a small gap somewhere.. It has finally stopped hurting this afternoon which is a relief.
Pen-Pin - gentle hugs for you
MissyMoo - Welcome to the thread!
Pooky - I must have missed your birthday too so belated wishes for youI can't eat those cheap chickens from Tescos since the HFW programme but I do wish I could - £2 for a chicken is an amazing bargain and can really help in these credit crunch times.I feel sad about MJ too and also Farrah Fawcett who has been fighting cancer for ages. She was so iconic when I was young - every girl at schoolo wanted her flicked hair do and every boy I knew had her poster on his wall.. she was huge, and a surprisingly good actress if you saw some of her serious work in the 80's.Thank you for all the good wishes and I am happy to report that my toothache is gone today thank goodness, so hoping to have happy chicken and red pepper kebabs for dinner, cooked on the George Foreman with my own bbq sauce.
Oh and my blood sugar is the lowest it has ever been today, so five days on my new medication is doing great - I was averaging about 20.2 and now am down to around 12! (should be 6 but I don't expect miracles!)Enjoy the rest of your weekends..Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Welcome Missymoo  and welcome back Joannasmum  I remember you from before, hope all is well with you both
Diva - glad the toothache has gone at last and the blood sugar is down
Haribo - you are certainly having an eventful week
All jobs done, OH was despatched to the charity shop with 3 bags of stuff still need to put some bits and pieces up in the loft,I am so glad I never got rid of our old suitcases, they hold so much and are easy to get down if and when needed.
SC will be ready at 5 so I am going to have a sit down and relax for a bit.

Afternoon all
Haribo - you certainly are making me smile, not at your misfortune you understand but the way you write about it is priceless!:D
Diva - glad to hear tooth finally sorted.
Welcome Missymoo
Well had appt at docs this morning and he is def referring me onto hospital for an urgent appointment. He said that I should still go on holiday on wednesday if I wanted to though as it will only be 3 days longer than the 2 week deadline to be seen!?! So I think we will still go, if it was just me and OH we would probably postpone but we have friends going with us too who would have major problems re-arranging so it feels like we should go.
We are going away in the caravan this weekend too, just packing car up now ready for when OH gets home and I am looking forward to that, feel the need to "chillax" as my DD says:D
Hope you all have a nice weekend, will catch up with thread on sunday.
xxx"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D
