I am absolutely devestated by this. I was looking forward to seeing him in August but I guess it wasn't to be. I stayed up until 3.30am as I didn't quite believe it, needed to hear confirmation before I went to bed. Am still in shock really, I can't believe he is really gone. A true legend, he will be greatly missed...

I grew up with michael jackson, he was truly my childhood music icon. I know there was alot of stories written about him in the media and allegations, but whether or not they were true, i still had so much respect for that man, because of the passion he put into his amazing music, i would have loved to have seen him live, We have lost a legend and my thoughts go out to his family and friends. RIP Michael.

Lucky to see him in concert at his peak and visually concerts were breathtaking. If well and fit and in modern era with technology advances, O2 gigs would have been amazing, Madonna and others apparently were lined up for special appearances.

Sad to see them even film his body being transfered for autopsy. Hope he now is at peace.
