upgrading ram there are so many types and sizes how do i find out what type to buy ?????

    Download PC Wizard and see exactly what you already have in your system and how many slots are free.

    I quite agree a very good program indeed, you may also try Belarc or Everest Home

    Belarc = Simplistic

    Everest = In Depth

    PC Wizard = In Depth and Simplistic

    i have DDR-SDRAM PC2100 on my pc now i guess i stay this type but increase the value to 1gb or 512mb ???? is this right ???

    Yup. Make sure the motherboard supports the number of modules you need/want to install.

    my ram is 133 mhz and i can buy 266 mhz instead is this ok or should i stick with 133

    PC2100 DDR SDRAM is rated to operate at 133MHz. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise: it's only by virtue of their DDR-ness that they're considered to run any faster.
