I know you have all heard me moaning about my dropped internet connection but wanted everyone to be aware if you are using a laptop and not being continually connected (plugging in only when in use) your usb port will become lose from the continual plugging and unplugging, it has taken a year of me doing this to knacker mine and my lappy is now back at manufacturer  so please be warned and get a wireless connection if you are doing this ;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Buy a USB extension cable (£5)

Leave the extension plugged into the laptop and just use the extension connection for pluggin/unpluggin

Saves wear and tear on moving parts.

yes i had already thought of that, but as i (and most others) put lappy into a tight fitting laptop case it's no good and also it still a floppy moveable part which doesnt help :o I just put it on here so if i can make just one other aware (as i wasnt) then one job done ;)

Does it really have anything to do with ure usb or is ure isp loosing connection... this more likly down to bt if you have a bt line, has the line been upgraded latley or attemted to, although you might have a loose usb connection it would have been alot cheeper to plug it into another first...
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.
