Want to Sell car but unable to buy Road Tax

Hi,
I'm looking to sell my car which has a valid MOT but no road tax or insurance. It's currently kept off road.
I was going to sell the car without Tax but now realised the prospective buyer will not be able to legally take it on a test drive and also I don't think they would be insured when driving?? (need to check this)
Can anyone recommend the best way forward, I would like to purchase 6 months tax to make the car more attractive to sell and also be legal to take on a test drive.
But....the only way I can buy the tax is to have an insurance certificate, are there any short insurance terms available so I can just buy the tax??
The car isn't worth a lot so I dont want to fork out a lot on insurance just to buy the tax disc.
Many Thanks

You could insure it for a month, You may need to add an any driver policy.
A potential buyer maybe insured to drive other cars on their policy but this only covers your car 3rd party, Any damage to your car will not be covered.0
