PPI - Barclaycard have said they can only refund back to the card ?? HELP!!

Options
Hi there

Thanks to the best website in the world i have reclaimed my PPI back from Barclaycard so they sent me a letter agreeing the amount (£7,000:j) So i just get back from holiday looking for my big cheque and NO, a letter from barclaycard saying they cannot write me a cheque for the amount they can only refund the amount back to the card, of which i have not had now for a long time. Surely this cannot be right, or at least i hope not!

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

    Hi there
I'm hearing more and more of this game recently.

Do you know how much you owe on your card, I was going to say that what some do apply the refund to the card and with what is left they should send by cheque.
I take it you've no arrears?

On the other letter you received about the £7K, did they confirm they were going to pay by cheque payment then?

If so I would argue this and tell them they cannot go back on this.

Otherwise if no arrears or missed payments, tell them you would appreciate this paid directly to you.

I take it this was an offer of goodwill?
If they admitted liability of mis selling in my opinion you should have this refunded back to you, because of the mis sale you have been out of pocket.

I would ask them anyway, please let us know, good luck.;)

I see, well I don't think it will hurt to try and reclaim if you were mis sold for any reason, because if this is the case you have been out of pocket, which did not help.;)

I have just had confirmation of my PPI refund but it is miniscule in comparison to yours, only £330. On the accpetance form it asked for my bank details to do a refund. I was really surprised as i have heard of so many people having it refunded to their cards.

I no longer have a card on this account and asked for it be closed so that i can pay it off so was really surprised to see the acceptance letter offering to pay me directly. Happy days even though it is small.

Good luck with your attempt to get it refunded directly.
