I have no idea pobby, but the way things are going i think me & OH will be able to buy what we want on less than 3x one salary and the rest cash, so the lower the better really for us
I would love richmond, its SO nice but weve been looking in cheaper areas
That sounds very good Lynz. London and less than 3 times. However, scouting around, there does seem to be some serious drops in certain places. What sort of thing do you hope to buy?0 -
We are a little way off yet, certainly havent saved enough
I am hoping that we would be able to find a nice 2 or even 3 bed ground floor falt, has to have a garden. WOuld prefer PB, or Ex la, I dont really like conversions, the rooms can sometimes be a funny shape
A few we are watching ON RM are

Wondering whether this might come back on - Ive saved it in the hope http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-22878395.html?backToListURL=%2Fuser%2Fshortlist.html%3Ftype%3DBUYING
There is a LOT cheaper than this, but this is a great area/ good schools etc... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

As I recall Leytonstone is quite nice. Is there a park there? It`s been a long time since I had a girlfriend who lived there so I can`t remember. Which district is the other one in?
Btw Lynz, that first one. What would be the price of that at the peak?0 -
Your right Pobs, Leytonstone is a really nice area. Yes there is a 'park'- well, its the start of Epping forest :rotfl: Its beautiful though, there really is nothing more bautiful than a sunset over one of the lakes there, and on snowy days its really divine. . upper Leytonstone and Wanstead are really the best bits, it can get somewhat dodge on route to the stratford maryland bit  ( loads of dealing)
There is hardly any ex local in the nicer bits of Upper & Wanstead, so its realy difficult to tell in E11. I owuld say that I saw a similar split level in e3 for 325 and thats what they were selloling at when I was selling my flat ( as I woudl have liiked to have bought one there adn then but couldnt afford it at all) id say 265 is about right for peak price on the maisionette. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Wow what a lot of dosh. Bet you are glad that you sold when you did. Have to say, well I always do, even now these prices are scaring the pants off me. We are planning to move over the next few years and are right now, chucking a fair bit at our house, mind you, the improvements are stunning.0 -

This made me laugh..... South Woodford Rules !!!!
Reminds me of an article by South Woodford EAs in the local paper about a year ago when there were signs that the housing market was heading down. They assured everyone that S Woodford was different, it could never happen there, and there was only one way S Woodford house prices could ever go and that was up.0 -
Well thats not happening in Southwoodford is it. i realy like woodford as well, I just dont know if we could tolerate the reliance on the central line, it is rather far out??? You do get a lot more for less money, I have seen some really nice flats ( ie dont need a refurb) for the same price as those further in that do) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
