It has a load of discount vouchers for attractions in the area. I am sure Colchester Zoo has 2 for 1 offer there.`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.

Not sure if they still do it, but last time we went we paid for the tickets on line and printed them off and the price was discounted.
Once you have paid for them, you have 12 months in which to use them so if for any reason you can't go, the money is not wasted.0 -
My only tip is go somewhere else! Its awfully hilly and if your little uns are little that can be a chore, some parts are a total sod to push a buggy round. Also if they are really little don't expect baby friendly. When mine was still on milk we went there and had to go on a route march around the whole zoo to find the one restaurant with warming facilities.
Oh and take your own food if you don't want to eat junk.
I love zoo's but this one has the big thumbs down despite the wonderfull penguin feeding experience. The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
Sorry I disagree. This is one of my favourite zoos and they are getting to grips with baby feeding and stuff. There is a special buggy trail and the animal feeding experiences are excellent.
The food is expensive so I too would recommend you take your own but you can get a decent meal there if you want to pay the prices.0 -
Thanks for info but looks like will not be going this weekend after all - as rellies we were visiting have come down with a bug!
Will bear in mind for next time though.

I totally agree about the animal feeding experiences especially as a lifelong penguin fan.
It's 3 years since I went there and unless they have revamped the food dramatically I can't recall a decent meal. Other than the restaurant there was just junk for sale and the veggie choice in the restaurant was uninspiring.
Mum went last year with my little boy and they again found the hills very hard going, one whole coach load of toddlers and their carers (nursery day out) were in agreement that the best part of the day was the pink wafers and changing coaches after a breakdown!
Its a shame for me as I really do love a good Zoo and this is the nearest one to where I live, still London is just a train ride and Bristol is nice if I can get there for a few days. Favourite zoo ever as a penguin fan was Amsterdam - not very handy for a day trip though! The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
Clicked the letsgoeastofengland link and it gave me

I am looking for a 2 for 1 deal and cannot seem to get to the letsgoeastofengland site even typing it into the browser?
Any ideas on where I can get discount vouchers please? :A0 -
