Applying for MINT card

I have already had a NatWest card before. Closed this last summer and then reapplied in november to get the 0% on transfers for 9 months.

If I then close this in August, wait for it to show as 'settled' and then apply for a MINT card, does my previous history with NatWest make me more likely to be rejected or should I be looking at a card from another lender?

Not too sure, but I've had a tesco card for 6 years, and got a Mint card last month no problems. I was declined at first for some reason, but then accepted. They are both RBS cards, so would think you could have them both at the same time as well if you wanted to try. If they decline you, just write nice letters to them and ask them to reverse their decision.

BEWARE MINT CARD. I recently applied for a Mint card and was awarded a credit limit of £2700, they also sent me some cheques. I took Martin's advice and banked the full amount into a savings account to get the interest. I obviously didn't look closely enough at the small print as they then charged me £50 for using the cheque which they added to my statement. This meant I had effectively spent £2750, they then slapped another £20 charge for going over the credit limit. I have had the card for two months and it has cost me £70 already, so do be careful!!!!

Nothing wrong with MINT have had several of their cards and never had any problems the credit limits and the CS has always been good.

I have in the past held Mint and NW cards at the same time. Had NW first.

Personally wouldn't bother with MINT, my own personal experience is that there credit limt is poor. I have only ever had two other credit cards previously and now a SKYCARD. They have all gitven me credit of at least £5000, MINT have given me a whopping £1900, When i rang them they told me to send bank documents, and they believe it's a perfectly reasonable limit for someone who earns £40K, am currently pondering whether to send it back or will this effect my credit rating.

I also got a really low credit limit from MINT. Sent it straight back in two bits with a cancellation letter.
