Shirley - terms can change between being advertised and being applied for? Even if you apply on an 'old form' they chose to accept (i.e. offer you) the terms applicable at the time. The 'Agreement' isn't struck on the application - only on the Agreement which they send you to sign.
'Instant accetance' is anohter matter of course. Provided the online details are the ones you wan't. In such cases make printed or cached copy as they probably advise anyway.
HTH.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

Just a small point Paul. The NSPCC card is issued by Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS), not the Royal Bank of Scotland.pec1960 wrote:hi martin,

The NSPCC website in its Credit Card Summary box says
... which I understand to mean that there is normally a BT Fee charged but not during the initial 9 months at 0%.Balance Transfer Fee 2% or minimum £2 (on promotional rates except introductory offer)

yes it all sounds like a con to me?mse has got it totally wrong!!!!!grumbler wrote:Read Charity Cards - BTF thread and check your copy of Credit Agreement ...0 -
No. MSE has got it right. Unfortuantely this isn't the first we heard (in fact one of the team members here has had the same experience), it seems the customer service team at HBOS have been given the wrong information. We have in writing and confirmed that there is no balance transfer fee - this is the correct information.
This is of course via the direct links as you can get these cards through other sites and there is a fee. I promise this is thoroughly checked out and i am talking to HBOS about getting its act together!
