Is it true that un-opened packs of nappies cannot be returned? Bought yesterday and realised they are too big and took back today. Can anyone tell me where the LAW says this please.

Did they take them back?0

Yeah, they did because I didn't know about this "LAW". As it was a first offence, so to speak, she refunded me the money. Thing is I'm not in the habit of buying nappies just to return them. They are swimming nappies and the sizes are shown differently on the packs than the normal nappies.
Oh and I know I should just be happy that I did get my money back and some people out there will wonder why I'm posting this query, but I'm just wondering about this "LAW".0 -
If a product is bought in the shop and you later fin that the size etc is wrong then they are under no legal requirement to exchange.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Also they cannot put them back on the shelf to resell them because who knows what you could have put in them, such as small needles or pins.
Most contaminated goods bought from shops and supermarkets are returns which some employee who did not know better put them back on the shop floor whithout checking them, so I have beeen told. I do not have a source for this, it is purely anecdotal.

I worked in Boots and we exchanged unopened packs of nappies (with a receipt) all the time.0

I have never had any problems exchanging incorrectly-purchased nappies.0

The " LAW" is that you are not entitled to a refund or exchange just because you bought the wrong item. The sale of Goods act, nappy section 32b,paragraph 6.
By allowing you an exchange or refund, they pampered you.No sh**, sherlock.0 -

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
