Help! fussy friend needs help choosing a holiday....

Hope someone can help. My best friend and her husband are planning a final holiday together before wanting to start a family.

I have been impressing them with my MSE attitude towards everything and she wants it applied to her holiday!!

She has an idyllic beach holiday planned with sandy beaches and clear blue sea- hot weather and plenty to see/explore.

They have been looking at Kefalonia but her husband has just thrown Sharm El Sheikh into the mix and now she is confused about destination. Sharm sounds like everything is A.I- is this because there is still a stigma around safety and/or limited quality restaurants etc locally?

They want 7 nights in June (flexible on dates) pref. flying from Birmingham up to £450 pp.

They could go 5* AI for this in Sharm or 4* B&B in Kefalonia- Her husband wants as much as they can get for their money but i'm not convinced a 5* label in Sharm is neccessarily 5* quality?

Anyone got any thoughts? Suggestions of other desinations/offers for them please....

Fortina Spa Hotel in Malta - fantastic for a last one before kids.
Personally I wouldn't go to Sharm

sorry, didn't read the max spend, might be pushing it for a decent room at the fortina although late deals do come up

Thanks cheekymole, will get them to have a look.

She has her sights on the Captain Corelli's Mandolin setting! I don't think Sharm is going to do that somehow- she won't do any of the Canaries again and their budget and the fact they want a 7 night trip is restricting them from looking further afield.

They would get more for their money on AI if that's what they want

I think this is why i added 'fussy' to the title!

She wants to sample all the local restaurants, hire a car etc and go exploring.
He on the other hands is thinking AI would be good as I suppose he knows exactly what it is going to cost him!! lol!!

Perhaps it's not that they're fussy- they just can't agree on what they want.
Note to myself- tell them to sit down and agree what they want before i get stuck in the middle of a domestic here!!

But if you're paying the same price for B&B as AI then they can still go out and explore but with the added bonus of free food if they want it?
