Can anyone help me with a problem that no one seems to be able to solve on the cdfreaks website. Here is the link to my problem. Everyone offered potential solutions but no one offered me help to the two questions that I asked.

So did you do a defrag a s mentioned... doesnt matter whether its 3months old
as you are transferring data back and forth all the time also have you put any programs on the PC near the time it went a bit mental also how much RAM do you have as if you have more processes running than when at new RAM maybe an issue.0 -
It may have something to do with something that I put onto my computer around that time. Although it hasn't effected anything else. Just the dvd burning. Not even cd burning. I haven't actually got round to defragmenting the hard drive yet. I should do but I don't see how this would change the speed from x8 to x2.
I have 1.5gb of RAM so no problems there I think. Plus I have a 1.86ghz Pentium M processor.0 -

So remove the program that you downloaded as that may be it, as also spyware can have this affect also, just think that if you are dividing memory between applications it will slow the PC down.
If you know how defrag works you would of already done this, just dont junk an idea that has been handed to you because if you wont try a suggestion how can you rule out that as a problem.0
