Hi,
we have a after market kenwood stereo fitted but when we listen to AM only it makes a tick tick noise. its only with AM, FM and the CD Changer are fine

does anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it

the car is a VW Polo '00

The ignition probably needs supressing - I assume the ticking increases with the revs?

Common problem with VW.

the am in my brand new vw doesnt work and the cd's only work for about 20 mins
