To be quite frank with you Jason, there comes a time when it is quicker to do a backup of your important files and completely format and reinstall Windows - in my opinion, this is one of those times.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0

Do you have any recovery CD's or a recovery partition on your hard drive?Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Well you legally download and use a CD image of Windows XP, burn it to CD and install from that CD - I believe Microsoft even give you a download. The illegal part is to use a serial number that does not belong to you.
Do you have a serial number to hand? If not, you can easily recover it with a small program such as Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder (link).Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -

Oh...
Well, I'm trying to install an antivirus atm...
You might find that you won't be able to set-up any antivirus because of the viruses stopping you.
If I was you I would...
Note your XP key using the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder (the one basmic linked to) and make sure you have lent a windows XP cd from someone.
download DBAN and burn the ISO to CD using ImgBurn
wipe the hard drive with it using the 'quick' command
Reset your router to factory defaults (incase anything has changed any settings and openend ports) then turn it off
Re-install windows
connect to your router via ethernet and set it up with passwords on both the wireless and router setup page0
