Oh no really? What time does Cupar-Kincardine get busy? Where does it get bad?

Thank you so much, the advice is really appreciated.
I dont know about when it gets busy, that is just normal driving.
Going to Kincardine from Cupar there are no dual carriageways and a few towns and villages to go through, it is not a good road to be in a hurry on, you would probably be better going via the Kirkcaldy by-pass and through Rosyth.
I still suggest that you take a drive from Cupar Cross to Charing X on Sunday just to see then add in for being busy at the Glasgow end (worth about an extra half hour).

I used to do it all the time and it was fine. It has been a while though. Cupar - Auchtermuchty - Kinross, over to Kincardine. Will check out the Rosyth route but Oh did Glasgow - Dalgety Bay for a month and went that way - it took a fair while.

Hmm, lots to consider. He can start work at 7.30. His new boss commutes from Crieff and someone comes from Kirkcaldy apparently so I guess he can consult them.

Starting at 7:30 will help at the Glasgow end.
Cupar to Rosyth is still easily 40-45 minutes even that early time, you would be another 15-20 to Kincardine.
Going by Muchty would probably be less traffic but fewer chances to overtake as well if he did meet something.
Starting at 7:30 will affect his return journey, he will start to meet traffic just finishing work as he gets further east.

    Good luck with it all.
