does anyone know how i can cancel mcafee, we used to pay for it thru aol but changed to sky last October, we thought that as we had cancelled aol it would automatically cancel mcafee. We contacted aol and they said we have to do it thru mcafee as aol no longer deals with them, but on the bank statement it clearly states aol at the side of the debit, also they said its not like a normal direct debit and it couldnt simply be cancelled like you would normal dd, but that they just keep charging your card month after month, hope this makes sense

Write them a letter, inform them you're giving them 30 days in which to cancel your subscription to their service. As such you no longer permit them to charge your credit card - which I imagine is where the problem starts. As you allow them to take money from a card, instead of the 'normal direct debit' method of from the bank.
Then send a letter to your bank\credit card issuer and tell them any charges from this company will be considered FRAUDULENT and you would like them back.
There you go.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0
