AOL broadband

Easy to install - yeah. Ring our help line grrrrrrrr

Well we followed the instructions and had "no dial tone". Rung their helpline. After overcoming the accent difficulties we were given duff advice.

Connected to net via dial up to try to find help and found it via a google search. Disconnected one of the filters (according to aol the most important one - at the primary inlet) and hey presto the modem sprang into life.

Only took 4 hours!!!!!!!!

i've been with aol for year and never had any probs, i've always found them to be helpful and informative, the downside is the cost, although ive had great service, i will still be changing soon to a more financially competitive company, i am a money saver after all lol, although, only time will tell, if i live to regret it ??? ::) :-/

Four hours to get connected on AOL broadband? You were lucky ;D

Took me over a week - never got to the proper bottom of it, but NTL/AOL were playing blame tennis!!!

No problems since, I'm actually ashamed to admit I quite like AOL :-[
  • It took them 4 weeks to tell us we couldn't get Broadband and that was after we started phoning up to complain. They initially said we could get broadband, then they said BT hadn't got in touch with them we had to do comunicate with BT ourselves. After that run around we emailed Virgin instead and got connected with no problems within a couple of days!
