hi everyone,
just need a little advice on my housing benefit...
since loosing my job in dec 08 i have been claiming income-based jsa
im 21 yrs old and live in a 1 bed flat, rent is £460 month...as i am only 21 i have only been able to claim HB for under 25 - shared room rate, which is 63.46wk....my mum pays the rest of the rent for me as i am 4 months pregnant and have nowhere else to live.
will the housing put my Hb rate up due to being pregnant or will it just stay the same until my baby arrives....i cant afford a desposit for a new flat so i have to stay where i am for now.

You will then have a dependant. Here's the local housing allowance calculator. You're lucky to have someone pay the £50 a week of a difference. You would be better off just living with them, if that's the amount to be paid every week to make up your rent.
