Thank you tigerlily, I have a follow up appointment in 5 weeks, but the consultant couldn't say if all tests would be ready by then.

That was certainly how I understood the situation to be; it's a shame your consultant seems to be handing out rather confused advice.have phoned the DVLA medical section today and they advise that 'to be tested is not the same as a result, it is the same as not having it, unless you have been told NOT to drive, and in your case we feel that unless the results are positive then you may continue to drive'0
