Isn't it Champions, cereal is it not?“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -
I live on a low budget, and that link has inspired me to be a bit more experimental and bold in the future.
I honestly didn't think I could afford salmon, or pheasant and so on, but clearly, with management, I can afford to eat a far greater variety of interesting foodstuffs than I have been.

Doesn't look a bad menu taste-wise but I suspect the portion sizes are very small. No way is 2 pints of milk going to do me for 7 bowls of cereal, it's touch & go to reach your 5 portions of fruit & veg a day, there isn't a single snack, my Hubby would laugh at those light lunches & I like to drink something other than water so can't imagine that I'd be able to keep it under £2 per person per day. Saying that, I might give it a go after next weeks shopping trip with a few OS adaptations:think: Will let you know;).
Actually, have just realised that for 2 of us it would cost £112 per 4 week month & I only spend £125 now on a lot more food (lots of it organic inc 2 fruit & veg boxes) and also including baby stuff like formula & 1 pack of nappies a month, so actually not such a good option after all:shocked:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

I thought the site looked quite interesting so I will be going back to peruse in more depth. I found out there is a local farmers market within 4 miles so that's good.
However regarding the menu - I don't think I could face having the same cereal everyday (however many different things there are in it). Also the pricing of the meat seemed very cheap. And just to be pedantic his shopping list had 125g carrots on it and then in the recipes, the carrot and coriander soup contained 8 carrots. By my reckoning 125g works out at about 2 medium sized carrots.
Still I'll be giving some aspects of it a tryI like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0 -
Wondering if I really do eat too much
, as that would feed me only, the OH would have to fend for himself!! Not sure the idea of soup everyday is that appealing when working and bread and Houmous is what I have as a snack before lunch  good site though, I use it quite often to locate farm shops on our travels!

Excellent idea, I'm a great believer in buying local produce. Unfortanatly this site did not have my most local farm shop listed, although I'll let them know, so hopefully they will soon.0

Link is broken. Didn't work.Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0

The link is an old one. It doesn't seem to be there any more.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Big Barn's still there, though! Lots of ideas and locations for food suppliers. Well worth a look.
