  • yep... but im now being chased by a debt collection company who have now taken on my lloyds tsb account (its changed hands presumably) for a total of 1002.67 so im being put under pressure by them to pay out more money

    Firstly, on the hardship claim, I don't think you have a case based on priority debts with repayment arrangements in place. However, you have a disputed debt so write to LloydsTSB and state you will make payment arrangements on the account on the conclusion of the OFT test case issues. Tell the DCA that the debt is in legal dispute and if you feel confident, tell them to get lost.
