Is it worth asking any of your neighbours or soon to be neighbours? If they have recently used someone they should be able to give you the inside track.
It is worth using someone who a) specialises in conveyancing and b) has had previous experience with shared ownership preferably with the housing assoc or whoever you are buying from.
It might even be worth asking the housing assoc and then approaching the ones they suggest and see how you feel when you ring for a quote. It is a good indication of how a firm will deal with other enquiries, how they deal with your first call.0 -
Thank you for your quick reply.
I will ask the people who are living in the building.0 -
Your Financial Adviser should have a list.

My solicitor isn't based in London but in Somerset and she has extensive experience of shared ownership and I can highly recommend her. PM me if you'd like her contact details. She is acting for me at the moment, and very on the ball.0

Don't you have to go and see the solicitor at some point? I had to go to mine for something, cannot remember what.0 -

we were given a contact number for a solicitor called sharpe&co. I called them and got a reasonable quote just over 650.
The thing is they are not authorised by FSA, does it matter??
