Hi All
As above , have got to page 3 which says put a X in the box if you work 16 hours a week or more for the help with childcare costs, well both myself and OH do work over 16 hours but my OH is on maternity , should we put a X in now , or wait till she goes back to work and then contact them ?
Cheers

As long as your partner is within the first 39 weeks of maternity leave you can claim help towards childcare costs. After the 39 weeks she is no longer classed as working unless she returns to work.
Don't worry about the child benefit number, you can call later to add it.0 -

you contact them, once you start paying for childcare, until that point, you arent using childcare so you dont put it on the form

That can't be right? Women are entitled to 1 year maternity leave - 3 months of this is unpaid but she would still be employed and therefore classed as working.0 -

you have the right to take 1yr off, but at 39wks you are no longer classed as being on mat leave, and also not working although you are still employed - any perks of working are withdrawn, so you cannot claim for help with childcare, as you have chosen to stay at home and look after you child for the remaining 3m, unpaid

I never knew that! How ridiculous
I stand corrected!
